I am a student at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire studying political science with an emphasis in world politics. In my free time I love to read, try local restaurants, go for walks and bike rides on the trail, and attend local outdoor concerts and festivals.
As an Eau Claire native, I have been fortunate to grow up with a strong sense of community. Watching the city grow has given me an appreciation for the holistic nature of “sustainability,” and the negotiation that must take place between economic growth and environmental preservation. As a Political Science student, what attracts me to this internship is that it allows me to “think globally and act locally” by being politically engaged, and addressing serious environmental issues in my community.
I’m a conservation voter because environmental justice brings social justice.
Favorite place in Wisconsin: Putnam trail and “Little Niagara” near the UWEC campus.
