As the Northeast Organizer, Casey works with volunteers, activists, and partner organizations in the community to hold our elected officials accountable for the decisions that they make regarding our natural resources and works to draw attention to important conservation issues in and around northeast Wisconsin.

I’m a conservation voter because Wisconsin has a rich history of the outdoors and everyone deserves the chance to take part in enjoying the same environmental quality as generations in the past.

My Story

Growing up in Random Lake, WI led to a lot of chances for me to experience the outdoors as a kid. I camped with my family in the summers, swam in Random Lake, hiked at nearby Harrington Beach State Park, and ran on my high school’s Cross Country team. All of these experiences led me to appreciate the outdoors the way I do today.

Social studies was always my favorite subject in school and it sparked my eventual interest in politics. After participating heavily in Model United Nations in high school I decided to go to University of Wisconsin – Green Bay to major in Political Science. My time at UW-Green Bay furthered my respect for the environment due to the Arboretum Trail that surrounded the campus and green space within it.

I first volunteered with the Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters in 2015 and tabled the opening of the Green Bay office. I spent the fall of 2016 as a campaign manager for a state assembly candidate, graduated from UW-Green Bay, worked as an AmeriCorps VISTA for a non-profit specializing in improving life outcomes for children in Brown County, then ran for Brown County Board of Supervisors (and unfortunately lost), all before coming to be the Northeast Organizer. I’m happy to have found a home working to further ideals of conservation and environmental justice for all of Wisconsin.
