I am a student at UW-Eau Claire studying social work and women’s studies. My areas of interest lie mostly within environmental and social justice issues. Interning at Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters is a great way for me to learn how to make bigger changes in our community and world.
I found my love for nature at a young age from my parents, who are both geologists. We were constantly outside, doing anything from camping and hiking to cross-country skiing and ice fishing. They taught me how to appreciate and respect the environment. As I got older, I realized how important it is to protect what gives us life and happiness. That’s why I’m excited to be working with such a positive and effective organization!
I’m a conservation voter because it scares me that not everyone sees how important the Earth is to our everyday lives, and I want to help protect the beauty that surrounds us!
Favorite place in Wisconsin: Devil’s Lake State Park.
