Conservation Lobby Day 2014 was a huge success. Almost 300 conservationists from across the state descended on the State Capitol on February 11, 2014. Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters Institute connected these engaged citizens with their legislators to present our decision makers with stories and perspectives from real Wisconsinites. Their message to legislators focused on two key bills and aimed to: Protect the voices of local communities when it comes to polluting practices in their own backyards and stop the bad groundwater bill from devastating our waterways. The work of engaged citizens on Conservation Lobby Day helped us defeat both bills and kill a terrible frac sand billing that followed.
