We need your urgent action! Local community funding in Wisconsin is at risk!

Wisconsin communities regularly depend on a governor's authority to quickly deploy federal dollars to respond to emergencies. This funding can provide housing and emergency supplies to help a community immediately after a tornado or severe flooding, protect our drinking water, and more. But, rather than respecting the current system that allows for a governor to act quickly, the Wisconsin legislature is attempting to undermine the Executive Branch's authority and insert a new legislative power to decide how those funds get spent.

On September 12, 2023, the Wisconsin Assembly passed AJR 6, a constitutional amendment that would eliminate the Governor's ability to quickly distribute federal funding. AJR 6 is available to be scheduled in the Senate.
