Green Infrastructure
- The Fresh Coast Resource Center assists the community by providing education and financing to create successful green infrastructure projects that capture stormwater to prevent sewer overflows, reduce runoff pollution, and protect our waterways. Energy Efficiency and Home Upgrades
- Me2 Home Energy Efficiency Upgrades: Provides steps homeowners take to finance energy efficiency improvements to their home. The City of Milwaukee partners with Summit Credit Union to provide financing/loans to cover energy saving improvements with an approved set of contractors. - Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP): Assists with insulation, air sealing, and repair or replacement of furnaces and water heaters. WAP has a 50 percent County Median Income guideline for clients. To be eligible, clients must apply and be approved for Energy Assistance. - STRONG Homes Loan Program: Partially Forgivable, Low or No Interest Loans for Emergency & Essential Home Repairs. Learn more and apply by calling 414-286-5610 or visiting this website.
- Compliance Loan Program (CLP): Assists homeowners in making repairs necessary to fix code violations on their property. CLP does this by providing 0 percent interest, deferred payment loans. Homeowners pay no interest and only pay back the loan when selling or transferring the property. If you need the work completed immediately the CLP process is relatively quick from application to work being scheduled (approximately 2-4 weeks). - Childhood Lead Primary Prevention Program: Through this program, eligible property owners are provided a grant to replace original windows that have lead-based paint.
