Headquartered in Viroqua, at the heart of Wisconsin’s Driftless Area, Ethos Green Power Cooperative is a worker-owned renewable energy cooperative dedicated to empowering communities through electrification.

In 2025, Congress passed the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill,” eliminating clean energy tax credits that Wisconsin families and businesses relied on. In this video, Ethos Sales & Marketing Coordinator Tomas Herrera explains how the bill means higher energy costs, lost jobs, and stalled progress on local solar projects. Rep. Derrick Van Orden, who represents the region, voted in favor of the measure.

The repeal of these credits will hurt Wisconsin’s environment, businesses, and everyday citizens – with impacts that extend far beyond the state.
