Villa West, located in Green Bay, is an affordable housing complex for seniors and disabled individuals. Through a grant program funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and administered by the PSC, Villa West installed solar panels and battery storage at three of its buildings.
This state-of-the-art microgrid system not only reduces the complex's reliance on utility power but also provides essential battery backup during power outages. This ensures residents maintain access to critical electrical loads and life-saving medical equipment in emergencies. Watch the video to learn more about the project.
