St. Norbert’s College passes clean energy resolution

St. Norbert College made the commitment to reach 100 percent clean energy and carbon neutrality by the year 2050. January through March, Wisconsin Conservation Voters organized the St. Norbert student body to urge the Student Government Association to write a resolution making the commitment.

The Environmental Sustainability Advisory Committee, along with the Student Government’s Sustainability Task Force, is now tasked with developing and assessing the college’s plans and progress towards clean energy goals laid out in the resolution.

In spring 2019, Brown County's other four-year university, the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, made a similar commitment to reaching 100 percent clean energy by 2045.
