Stevens Point commits to 100 percent clean energy and carbon neutrality by 2050

The Stevens Point Common Council unanimously voted to pass a resolution committing the city to 100 percent clean energy and carbon neutrality by 2050. The passage of this resolution is thanks to the support and dedication of residents, business owners, local elected officials, city staff, and community leaders.

Over 350 residents signed a petition supporting this resolution, and for over a year, community members, city officials, and common council members worked together to draft the resolution.
