Our kids have the right to grow, learn, and play in spaces that are safe from pesticides. In many communities, pesticides on private lawns can have immediate and harmful impacts on nearby public schools and parks. AB 289 would allow communities to better protect these spaces by limiting the use of pesticides on private lawns.
AB 289 was introduced on May 25, 2023, and referred to the Assembly Committee on Jobs, Economy, and Small Business Development. It is available to be scheduled for a public hearing.
Ask your legislators to support AB 289.
