SB 292 & AB 287 : Allowing local regulations that protect pollinators

Bill Description

The use of pesticides is harmful to pollinator health. SB 292 & AB 287 would give local communities the authority to regulate pesticides that harm pollinators and pollinator habitats.

Current Status

SB 292 was introduced on May 30, 2025, and referred to the Senate Committee on Natural Resources, Veteran and Military Affairs. It is available to be scheduled for a public hearing. AB 287 was introduced on May 30, 2025, and referred to the Assembly Committee on Agriculture. It is available to be scheduled for a public hearing.
