Bill Description
Energy to heat our homes, keep our lights on, and our appliances running is an essential need for Wisconsinites. Unfortunately, energy rates have exceeded the ability to afford this essential service for too many families. SB 780 & AB 785 would cap utility bills for households experiencing high energy burden and prohibit utilities from disconnecting utility service for lack of payment for those under a certain income.
