Wind turbines are a safe, reliable, and proven technology to meet our state’s energy needs. Wind energy produces no pollution that can increase smog, soot, or climate emissions. SB 151 & AB 165 would allow local governments to impose more restrictive restrictions on wind energy based on unproven concerns that have largely been debunked.
SB 151 was introduced on April 3, 2023, and referred to the Senate Committee on Utilities and Technology. It is available to be scheduled for a public hearing. AB 165 was introduced on April 10, 2023, and referred to the Assembly Committee on Energy and Utilities. It is available to be scheduled for a public hearing.
