Bill Description
To protect Wisconsin’s waters, we need to fund programs that bring people together and encourage water-related collaborations across Tribal nations, state government, the private sector, and nonprofits. SB 773 & AB 771 would increase funding for the University of Wisconsin System’s Freshwater Collaborative, which fuels these collaborations to prepare the next generation of water-sector leaders.

SB 773 was introduced on Dec. 12, 2025, and referred to the Senate Committee on Natural Resources, Veteran, and Military Affairs. It is available to be scheduled for a public hearing.
AB 771 was introduced on Dec. 17, 2025, and referred to the Assembly Committee on Environment. It is available to be scheduled for a public hearing.
