AB 694 & SB 690 : Helping local communities develop bike paths and trails

Bill Description

We need more tools to support development of bike lanes, walking paths, and trails. These are integral parts of community transportation plans, and central to increasing Wisconsinites’ health and quality of life. AB 694 & SB 690 would restore the ability of state and local governments to use the same tools available to road development to acquire land or interests in land for the purpose of building or extending state recreational trails, bike lanes, or sidewalks.
