AB 48 & SB 67 : Providing healthy school meals for all

Bill Description

Expanding access to healthy school meals is central to improving health and educational outcomes, and supporting Wisconsin farmers and local food economies. AB 48 & SB 67 would make school breakfast and lunch available to all Wisconsin K-12 students at no charge.

Current Status

AB 48 was introduced on Feb. 17, 2025, and referred to the Assembly Committee on Education. It is available to be scheduled for a public hearing. SB 67 was introduced on Feb. 21, 2025, and referred to the Senate Committee on Education. It is available to be scheduled for a public hearing.
