SB 82 & AB 83 : Restricting the transition to clean, cost-efficient transportation and appliances

Bill Description

To make our air cleaner to breathe and help combat climate change, we need to quickly transition to clean transportation and appliances. SB 82 & AB 83 would work against this transition by prohibiting state agencies and local communities from phasing out the use of dirty, gas powered transportation and appliances.


Current Status

SB 82 was introduced on Feb. 26, 2025, and referred to the Senate Committee on Transportation and Local Government. It is available to be scheduled for a public hearing.

AB 83 was introduced on Feb. 28, 2025, and referred to the Assembly Committee on State Affairs. It is available to be scheduled for a public hearing.

Ask your legislators to oppose SB 82 & AB 83.
