Managed grazing protects our water and builds healthy soil. Wisconsin should assist farmers in transitioning to managed grazing systems on perennial grasslands. SB 113 & AB 118 would create a new program for providing grants to farmers in making the transition to managed grazing.
Current Status
SB 113 was introduced on Mar. 7, 2025, and referred to the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Revenue. It received a public hearing on Apr. 3, 2025.
AB 118 was introduced on Mar. 11, 2025, and referred to the Assembly Committee on Agriculture. A public hearing was held on Apr. 8, 2025, and the bill passed out of committee on June 6, 2025.
