Bill Description
Wisconsin consumers have a right to know whether the products they buy will do what they say they'll do. SB 294 & AB 288 would prohibit the labeling of plants as beneficial to pollinators, if that plant has been treated with an insecticide known to harm pollinator habitats.

SB 294 was introduced on May 30, 2025, and referred to the Senate Committee on Natural Resources, Veterans and Military Affairs. It is available to be scheduled for a public hearing. AB 288 was introduced on May 30, 2025, and referred to the Assembly Committee on Agriculture. It is available to be scheduled for a public hearing.
