Support LRB 0065: Expediting Lead Pipe Removal

Wisconsin Conservation Voters urges you to support LRB 0065, which is circulating for cosponsorship.

Elevated lead levels in children's blood can lead to brain damage, reduced IQs, and behavioral problems. To protect Wisconsin communities from the dangers of lead poisoning and ensure compliance with new proposed rules from the Environmental Protection Agency, we need to remove all lead pipes within 10 years. LRB 0065 would increase the bonding authority for Wisconsin’s Safe Drinking Water Loan Program to help ensure more Wisconsin communities can quickly access the resources they need to expedite lead pipe removal.

Support LRB 0076: Supporting Lead Remediation in Our Homes

Wisconsin Conservation Voters urges you to support LRB 0076, which is circulating for cosponsorship.

Elevated lead levels in children's blood can lead to brain damage, reduced IQs, and behavioral problems. To protect Wisconsin communities from the dangers of lead poisoning, we need to eliminate lead paint and fixtures in our homes. LRB 0076 would create a new tax credit to help eliminate residential lead hazards.

Oppose LRB 4270: Legislative Control Over Elections Administration

Wisconsin Conservation Voters urges you to oppose LRB 4270, which is circulating for cosponsorship.

Wisconsin elections administration depends on nonpartisan leadership to be implemented fairly and efficiently. LRB 4270 would politicize elections administration by dissolving the Wisconsin Elections Commission and concentrating decision-making authority into the hands of two partisan-controlled committees of Wisconsin’s gerrymandered legislature.

Oppose LRB 5114 & 5232: Prohibiting Ranked Choice Voting

Wisconsin Conservation Voters urges you to oppose LRB 5114 & 5232, which is circulating for cosponsorship.

To protect our health and the health of our planet, we must explore creative election reforms that support a broader and more productive exchange of ideas. LRB 5114 & LRB 5232 work against this goal by proposing a constitutional amendment that would prohibit the use of ranked-choice voting.
