Support LRB 2937: Allowing Local Regulations that Protect Pollinators
Wisconsin Conservation Voters urges you to support LRB 2937, which is circulating for cosponsorship.
The use of pesticides is harmful to pollinator health. LRB 2937 would give local communities the authority to regulate pesticides that harm pollinators and pollinator habitats.
Support LRB 2938: Truth in Labeling for Pollinators
Wisconsin Conservation Voters urges you to support LRB 2938, which is circulating for cosponsorship.
Wisconsin consumers have a right to know whether the products they buy will do what they say they'll do. LRB 2938 would prohibit the labeling of plants as beneficial to pollinators, if that plant has been treated with an insecticide known to harm pollinator habitats.
Support LRB 2942: Prohibiting Neonicotinoids Near Pollinator Habitats
Wisconsin Conservation Voters urges you to support LRB 2942, which is circulating for cosponsorship.
We need to limit the use of neonicotinoids, a class of insecticides known to be particularly harmful to pollinator habitats. LRB 2942 would prohibit DNR from using neonicotinoids near any pollinator habitat located on land maintained by the DNR.
Support LRB 3135: Native Plants for Pollinators
Wisconsin Conservation Voters urges you to support LRB 3135, which is circulating for cosponsorship.
Native plants are known to provide the most benefit to pollinator habitats. LRB 3135 would require state agencies and other government entities to give preference to using native prairie and forage plants that benefit native bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
Support LRB 3240: License Plates for Pollinators
Wisconsin Conservation Voters urges you to support LRB 3240, which is circulating for cosponsorship.
We need funding that supports protecting our pollinators from extinction. LRB 3240 would create a specialty state license plate that would help generate funds to protect pollinators through Wisconsin’s Endangered Resources Fund at the Department of Natural Resources.
Conservation Notices of the Week (CNOW) announces the pro-conservation positions on issues before the senate, assembly and/or governor in the week ahead to state legislators. Others wishing to follow activities in the state legislature also receive CNOW, including legislative staff, conservation voters, and media. All of these issues are tracked on the Vote Tracker. Issues in the CNOW may appear in the Conservation Scorecard.
