Sharon Adams, Dylan Jennings, Sandra Dee Naas, and Jim VandenBrook should have been confirmed to the Natural Resources Board

Oct 17, 2023

Madison, Wis. – Today, 21 republicans in the State Senate voted against Sharon Adams, Dylan Jennings, Sandra Dee Naas, and Jim VandenBrook, who were appointed to the Natural Resources Board by Gov. Evers. Although each of these appointees is highly qualified, this vote will remove them from the Natural Resources Board.

Executive Director Kerry Schumann had this to say about the vote:

“Sharon Adams, Dylan Jennings, Sandra Dee Naas, and Jim VandenBrook should have been confirmed to the Natural Resources Board. Each of them is highly qualified and their wealth of knowledge would have been a huge asset to the board. We need leaders and experts like these to make decisions on our land and water that will protect the health of Wisconsinites and safeguard our natural resources. The fact that 21 Republicans in the State Senate voted against these appointees is unprecedented. For those 21 Senators, this vote was about politics, not about what’s best for Wisconsinites and the beautiful places we love.”
