Milwaukee poets and activists gather for an event highlighting opportunities for residents to access clean energy funds

Milwaukee, WI – Local Milwaukee poets and activists will gather for an event to talk about possibilities for Milwaukee’s equitable clean energy future. The event called “Words for Climate Justice Poetry Showcase” will take place at Adams Garden Park in Milwaukee on Wednesday, Aug. 30 at 7 p.m.
Wisconsin Conservation Voters is hosting a stacked lineup of local poets including Milwaukee Poet Laureate Mario Willis, Kavon Cortez-Jones, Carmen Alicia Murguía, and Brit Nicole.
The event aims to make attendees aware of the significant opportunities for low and middle-income families to access clean energy home upgrades, find sustainable jobs, and more thanks to historic investments from Biden’s Affordable Clean Energy Plan.
