SB 312 & AB 312 : Amendments to Establishing PFAS Community Grant Programs

Bill Description

Every person in Wisconsin deserves safe drinking water. SB 312 & AB 312 would create PFAS Community Grant Programs intended for municipal drinking water systems and private well owners. We are asking legislators to amend the bill to increase flexibility around enforcement, testing, and support for local governments in order to ensure the programs work effectively for impacted communities and individuals.


Current Status

SB 312 was introduced on May 24, 2023, and referred to the Senate Committee Natural Resources. A public hearing was held on June 5, 2023. AB 312 was introduced on June 9, 2023, and referred to the Assembly Committee on Environment. A public hearing was held on June 15, 2023.
