Our Department of Natural Resources is charged with managing our fish and wildlife, protecting our lands, and ensuring that every Wisconsinite can breathe clean air and drink safe water. As the governing body responsible for setting policy at the Department of Natural Resources, it is critical that members of our Natural Resources Board have deep experience with this wide and critically important range of responsibilities. Jim VandenBrook is a highly qualified nominee who bring decades of that experience.

He received a public hearing in the Senate Committee on Financial Institutions and Sporting Heritage on September 21, 2023. The committee voted against his confirmation on September 28, 2023. The Senate voted against her confirmation on October 17, 2023.
