SB 943 & AB 1045 : Restoring the 10-Day Voter Registration Residency Requirement

Bill Description

Wisconsinites should be able to vote where they live. Our 28-day voter registration residency requirement can sometimes make that difficult. SB 943 & AB 1045 would restore our voter registration residency requirement to 10 days.

SB 943 was introduced on January 19, 2024, and referred to the Senate Committee on Shared Revenue, Elections, and Consumer Protection. It is available to be scheduled for a public hearing.

AB 1045 was introduced on February 2, 2024, and referred to the Assembly Committee on Campaigns and Elections. It is available to be scheduled for a public hearing.
