To effectively manage the potential consequences of climate change, our long-term planning needs to consider ways to reduce carbon emissions, transition to clean energy, and center historically marginalized communities. SB 755 & AB 802 are an important layer of this need, as it would require these considerations in any long-term planning developed by the Department of Transportation.
