Bill Description
To build a democracy that works for everyone, we need to build systems that encourage young voters to make their voices heard on Election Day. SB 938 & AB 1046 would remove burdensome restrictions on whether students at Wisconsin technical colleges and UW System institutions can use their student ID card for voting.
Current Status
SB 938 was introduced on January 19, 2024, and referred to the Senate Committee on Shared Revenue, Elections, and Consumer Protection. It is available to be scheduled for a public hearing.
AB 1046 was introduced on February 2, 2024, and referred to the Assembly Committee on Campaigns and Elections. It is available to be scheduled for a public hearing.
