AB 499 & SB 562 : Restoring Voter Registration Opportunities in Wisconsin High Schools

Bill Description

To build a democracy that works for everyone, we need to build systems that encourage young voters to make their voices heard on Election Day. Prior to 2012, Wisconsin’s public high schools were required to offer voter registration opportunities. This requirement was eliminated under former Governor Walker’s administration. Assembly Bill 499 & SB 562 restore requirements that public high schools offer voter registration opportunities to eligible students.
