SB 686 & AB 722 : Restricting the Freedom to Invest in a Clean Future

Bill Description

Wisconsin communities deserve the freedom to invest in people and organizations focused on equitable access to safe drinking water, clean air, and a future that’s safe from the impacts of climate change. SB 686 & AB 722 would restrict that freedom by limiting what factors state agencies and local governments can consider when making financial decisions.

SB 686 was introduced on November 15, 2023, and referred tot he Senate Committee on Transportation and Local Government. It is available to be scheduled for a public hearing. AB 722 was introduced on December 6, 2023, and referred to the Assembly Committee on State Affairs. It is available to be scheduled for a public hearing.
