SB 358 & AB 359 : Truth in Labeling for Pollinators

Bill Description

Wisconsin consumers have a right to know whether the products they buy will do what they say they'll do. SB 358 & AB 359 would prohibit the labeling of plants as beneficial to pollinators, if that plant has been treated with an insecticide known to harm pollinator habitats.

SB 358 was introduced on July 13, 2023, and referred to the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Energy. It is available to be scheduled for a public hearing. AB 359 was introduced on July 27, 2023, and referred to the Assembly Committee on Agriculture. It is available to be scheduled for a public hearing.
