Town of Peshtigo passes resolution in favor of CLEAR Act

The town of Peshtigo passed a resolution in favor of passing the CLEAR Act at the state level and called on Sen. Eric Wimberger and Rep. Elijah Behnke to become co-sponsors of the bill.

Peshtigo contains dozens of wells that have tested at unsafe levels of PFAS. The CLEAR Act will require the DNR to establish standards for drinking water, surface water, groundwater, soil, and air. It will also require the clean up of PFAS chemicals.
